KC Express Events

Kansas City Express will hold their September meeting on Tuesday, September 5, 2000, at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Center, Bldg. D, of the St. Joseph Health Center (I-435 and State Line). Kansas City Express member, Ann Waters will share her experiences at the Galloway Training Camp. Ann is an active member of the Kansas City Express and has trained with the Express Team for several half-marathons. Women of all ages and abilities are most welcome to attend the meeting.

Kansas City Express will hold its annual OPEN HOUSE for new and prospective members on Tuesday, October 3, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Health Center. Those interested in learning more about the Kansas City Express Women's Running/Walking Club should plan on attending.

Members are offered the opportunity to participate in spring and/or fall training which prepares the training group for either a half or full marathon.

Mid-Summer Morning 5K
Kansas City Express sponsors and promotes an annual 5K run in the middle of July. We call this race the, "Mid-Summer Morning 5K Run/Walk." It is lots of fun for everyone, plenty of volunteer work to be taken on and there is even a race for the kids held the same morning.

Children's Sunshine Run
All children 12 and under are
invited to participate in the
Sunshine Run (1/4 mile distance)
at 8:30 a.m. Sunglasses are guaranteed to the first 100 children. Entry fee is $5.
